Young Professional's Happy Hour - Feb 26th, 2010
The backdrop for Pratham’s second Young Professional’s Happy Hour, on Feb 26th, 2010, was a San Francisco historical landmark, a 150 year old seawall marking the site of the infamous Barbary Coast, with part of its foundations visible in the downstairs private lounge. The oriental carpets, leather armchairs, and luxurious dark wooden bar at Tavern Aventine provided a relaxed atmosphere for all attendees. There were 90+ in all and they donated $10 at the door towards a raffle for $50 gift certificate to Slanted Door, a well know San Francisco, Vietnamese restaurant.
Despite the inclement weather, a great time was had by one and all, while sipping the “Read India Elixir” cocktail, specially created by Aventine to mark the event and to donate $1 every time anyone ordered the Elixir. Arun Palakurthy, the lucky winner of the raffle was a first time attendee and we do hope to run into him and his friends at our next Happy Hour evenings.
Pratham Bay Area chapter total tally was $950.
