Pratham Young Professionals Happy Hour at Amber
Pratham’s Young Professionals (YP) of San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter held its inaugural happy hour in San Francisco on November 12th, 2009 from 6 to 9 pm at Amber India Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown San Francisco. There were several Pratham YP events earlier in the year, but they had all been held in Silicon Valley. With its vaulted ceilings, colorful décor, and subdued LED light show behind the bar, the right ambience and mood was set for the Pratham Young Professionals of San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter to have a fabulous evening.
Amar Rao, the Bay Area Pratham Chapter Vice President, was in attendance and spoke to the group about his personal experience with Pratham and encouraged the young professionals in attendance to support and help Pratham achieve its goals by volunteering, donating money, and becoming involved with chapter events.
The evening was a great success with around 110 people in attendance. The evening provided a forum for young professionals to socialize, network and most importantly, give back. Amber India Restaurant provided Pratham with 20% of all bar proceeds from the night, which helped to raise $430.00 for Pratham.
