Pratham Receives $300,000 Grant from USAID's All Children Reading
USAID has granted Pratham a $300,000 grant from its All Children Reading program. The grant will help to fund the creation of a literacy assesment test and classroom materials as well as fund the implementation of learning camps in India.
Through USAID's All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development fund, USAID is working with parnters to bring clarity and attention to education problems in the developing world, to articulate the fundamental barriers to success, and to fund the design and implementation of solutions.
The program is a multi-donor grantmaking mechanism to support innovative projects that improve early grade reading outcomes. This program will catalyze innovative practices and target applied research for teaching and learning materials and education data that have the potential to be brought to national scale and across multiple contexts.
