Pratham Los Angeles Launches Young Professionals
Pratham Los Angeles launched the Young Professionals group with a bash on May 15th at Tanzore in Beverly Hills, CA. Over 125 guests came together to support Pratham's Read India campaign. The guests were entertained by emcees, Kunal Nayar from the hit show, The Big Bang Theory on CBS and actress, Janina Gavankar. Great food and wine was provided by Nikki Sood of Tanzore. NDM Dance Production kicked off the night with a dance performance to 'Jai Ho' from “Slumdog Millionaire.” Yogi Patel inspired the crowd with his touching story of his journey from poverty to education. Comedian Rasika Mathur made the guests laugh till their bellies hurt. UCLA A cappella group stole the evening with their amazing performance and charmed the crowd with their talent and music.
Young Professionals are the future of Pratham USA and with the launch of this group; Pratham Los Angeles is expanding the chapter and volunteer base to introduce more individuals to this organization. One child at a time, Pratham Los Angeles is helping to shape the future of underprivileged children of India with the gift of literacy and education.
The Young Professionals group organizes fundraisers, sets up collegiate chapters for Pratham USA and helps to create awareness of the Read India campaign within the southern California region.
