Celebrate International Literacy Day

Illiteracy is a fundamental problem that perpetuates generations of people to live in poverty. Yet, 796 million people around the world cannot read or write (UNESCO). In India alone, half of the child population – or 100 million children – cannot read at an age-appropriate level.

Do you believe that strengthening children’s education can help secure their future? Do you believe that every child should be in school and learning well?

In honor of International Literacy Day (September 8, 2012), join us on declaring the importance of education in a child’s life.

Here’s how you can help:

From August 27 to September 8, make an impact in the following ways.
