Bay Area Gala 2010

On the evening of Sep 28th, 2010, Bay area friends of Pratham came out in large numbers to support their beloved cause . There were long - time believers rubbing shoulders with new members and everyone had a great time.

Bollywood star, Amrita Rao joined in to show her support. Premal Shah, President of Kiva.org, spoke glowingly of the efforts of Non Profit organizations in addressing various issues that plague the populace and specifically of the significant strides made by Pratham in the field of children’s education in India.

Music was provided by Eastern Winds and comedy by Kabeezy and Dhaya, who happens to be the only South Asian comedienne, performing all over the US. The dances by Mona Sampath Dance Company were outstanding. The evening was compered by Ravi Patel, a staunch believer in Pratham’s message. You can catch him on many television series on Fox, Showtime etc.

Pratham Bay Area members and supporters donated generously for the various programs being spearheaded by Pratham India Team.
