Anupam Kher Event September 26

Pratham Charlotte was proud to host its first Gala Fundraiser Luncheon on Sunday, Sept 26, 2010. Mr Yogi Patel, gave a brief overview regarding Pratham's programs to educate children all over India using volunteers who have been trained by the Pratham staff.  This occasion was graced by Padma Shri Anupam Kher, an eminent actor and Bollywood legend, who is Pratham's Goodwill Ambassador to the USA.  Mr Kher entertained the audience of 200  with his hilarious stories, and his opinion about the importance of Pratham and its accomplishments in India.

The event was a great success thanks to the contribution of our supporters, the effort put in by the volunteers and the generous donors who helped Pratham Charlotte reach its goal of raising $102K+ for Pratham India.  Many thanks to Mr Ramesh & Mrs Chitra Mahalingam of Raleigh, NC for bringing Mr Kher to Charlotte and joining us at the luncheon. Each sponsor was also provided with a DVD of the entire event, thanks to the effort of Mr Rashmi Patel of RP Videography.
